Cub Cadet XT1 LT42 & LTX1040 42-inch Deck: Blade 942-04308A and Deck Belts 954-05021 / 954-04060C
The Cub Cadet XT1 LT42 and the older LTX1040 use different 42-inch deck belts. This page lists what Cub Cadet's own parts pages say about the blade and both belts, with a link to each source.
Before you order:
- Cub Cadet lists deck belt 954-05021 (99.75 in) for the XT1/XT2 Enduro LT42 and LX42 models, and 954-04060C (96.5 in) for the LTX1040, LTX1042KH and LTX1042KW. They are not the same belt.
- Cub Cadet's blade page for 942-04308A names the XT1 LT42 models but does not name the LTX1040. It describes the blade as fitting riding mowers and RZT mowers with a 42-inch deck (1997 onward). Check your model number on cubcadet.com before ordering a blade for an LTX1040.
